As a non-profit we fundraise annually to cover the cost of our programming and staff– but we are also funding our mission of getting Farm Discovery programs to ALL youth in our community.

That means FREE field trips for classrooms in need.

The schools who get these funds are 95% low income, up to 70% English Language Learners. On the farm they are active outside, trying and tasting new fruits and vegetables and thinking about food and their role in a healthy food systems.

Discovery works to empower youth and families to regenerate health in food, farming, nature and community. Through farming and cooking we explore nutrition, environmental stewardship and social justice on field trips, through summer jobs, summer camps, overnight farm immersions, family field days, and several annual events.

In the past year our pivots and adaptations included a new produce distribution partnership with farms, pantries and meal programs, improving access to organic produce for vulnerable community members and virtual and small group programming in the open air on the farm, including the support of families in distance learning. We have resumed our school based programs this fall.

With your continued support we hope to raise $25,000 in valuable funds to support our programs with this auction alone.
