Our collaboration with Santa Cruz Montessori inspired the launch of Farm Discovery.  We have worked with them for almost 20 years. The farm program gives students the opportunity to experience farm-to-table work with gardening, cooking, building, caring for animals, production and exchange at their own farm stand, and more. Each week take their classroom out on the farm to learn in four areas of interest: field studies, health and wellness, creative expression, and micro-economy.

Health and Wellness prepares lunch for the whole group and learns about cooking, food safety, and other health-related subjects. Micro Economy makes and sells produce and value added farm products such as jams and canned foods. Field Studies participates in field work such as planting crops and laying irrigation, and also scientific studies such as water quality sampling. Creative expression helps with farm beautification, nature art, digital media projects, and performing arts.
