This month we saw the return of our Santa Cruz Montessori Wavecrest students. Normally on the farm every Thursday, we haven’t seen them since last April. Having them back gave us all an energy boost and a sense of return to a little normalcy. Students are split into three topic groups, which they rotate through throughout the school year. Fields studies started prepping beds for beets and garlic, Micro economy hiked to the lower farm to harvest basil and berries, then made pesto to take home, and Creative Expression used field guides to identify wildflowers and then drew sketches. We so happy these middle schoolers back for safe, enriching program in the great outdoors!
