Hello, my name is Denise Bloodsaw and I am the new Education Associate for Farm Discovery at Live Earth! My environmental and outdoor education journey began in 2013. In Connecticut, I volunteered and worked at Mystic Aquarium, educating guests about wildlife conservation and research. My interest in working with animals and kids began the moment I handled my first Alligator! In 2015, I moved to California and transferred to CSU Monterey Bay to complete my bachelors in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Environmental Education. There I was able to connect more with the Monterey community and learn more about its natural environment and plant communities. In 2018, I graduated and became the Education Program Coordinator for Return of the Natives, a non-profit at CSUMB that is dedicated to educating through hands-on participation in habitat restoration. I’ve also worked for Ventana Wildlife Society as an outdoor educator, serving marginalized areas and bringing kids closer to nature. During the beginning of the Pandemic in 2020, I was able to pursue my interest in organic farming and produce at Earthbound Farm Stand and now joining the Farm Discovery at Live Earth!
