As we enter the spring season, we wave goodbye to Garrett Hambaro, former Development Manager, and Ash Bahena, former Education Associate. We are immensely grateful for their hard work, dedication, and energy they brought to Farm Discovery.
Ash started with Farm Discovery as a Seasonal Educator, then Americorp Servicemember, and then Education Associate. Ash is continuing on to work in organic community agriculture supporting food security and nutrition. Garrett began with us last year after moving back to Monterey. He is continuing work in community access to food and sustainable food systems.

We are pleased to welcome Hannah Ditty as our new Development Manager and thrilled she’s joining us!
Hannah, or “Ditty” has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Science and a Master’s in Environmental Policy. She cares deeply about environmental education and connecting people with experiences that connect them to the land. She became more interested in food and our agricultural system after moving to Monterey in 2022 and working on a regenerative farm outside of Salinas. Ditty enjoys running, reading, and long dinners with friends.
