At Farm Discovery, we’re lucky to have an amazing community of supporters who bring their energy and dedication to our mission. One of our superstar volunteers is Emily Noh.
How She Got Involved
Emily got involved with Farm Discovery through her sister Priscilla, one of our amazing educators. She joined us this past summer by volunteering for Summer Farm camp. She spent the days assisting a group with their activities, from gardening to kitchen support. She brought wonderful energy to camp and the campers loved her.
“The kids were honestly the funniest, and they made me feel so welcome. The mission of the Farm Discovery Program is meaningful to me because I think it’s great that you guys get to teach children about nature but also feel involved in the outside world by being together with other individuals.”
Farm Discovery’s environment, the people, and the kids keep her coming back. “I love the outdoor nature, being with the staff and having conversations, and lastly, being with the kids. The kids are a big part of it for me. They were always making me laugh and smile each day I was at camp; they were the ones who always made me feel right at home.”
In total she volunteered 103 hrs! Achieving her goal of 100 volunteer hours before she started her senior year. We appreciate all the time and energy she brought to summer camp and wish her all the best as she completes her senior year of high school.
Thank You, Emily!
