This past year, we have been able to keep our education fields thriving in part due to the hard work of dedicated field volunteers. Becoming a field volunteer with Farm Discovery is a chance to enjoy the beauty of Live Earth Farm while getting your hands dirty helping cultivate food and learning opportunities for our community’s children and youth.

Potential tasks include: weeding, planting, harvesting, adding compost to beds, garden maintenance and more! It’s a great opportunity to experience sustainable, organic farming & gardening in practice.

Volunteers are welcome to take breaks to visit our farm animal friends (pygmy goats, chickens, cow, pig and ponies) and take in our beautiful view of the Pajaro valley from the look out. We also offer harvests to take home from our fields as available.

We have meaningful tasks for all skill levels and can accommodate most physical restrictions. Volunteers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. For more information or to sign up, contact our Education Associate, Olivia, at education.associate@farmdiscovery.org

Hope to see you on the Farm soon!
