After the wine pairing dinner prepared by Chef Jessica Yarr, the event will culminate with a short live auction followed by dessert overlooking the Pajaro Valley. Our auction will feature relaxing getaways and adventures you can embark on from Shelter Cove to Tahoe, San Francisco and Big Sur! Have you been meaning to explore boat charters in the Monterey Bay, soak in the history and Foodie Delights of Carmel, venture up the coast for a barn-dance at Pie Ranch, hit up the mountain fun in Tahoe? Our auction offers these delightful trips, and you will be supporting Farm Discovery at Live Earth’s on-farm education programs, fresh organic produce distribution to meal programs and food pantries like Pajaro Valley Loaves and Fishes and field trips for local youth!

In 2021, Farm Discovery stepped up in partnership with the community to deliver 70,000 pounds of gleaned produce from Live Earth Farm to farmworker families, seniors, veterans, foster youth and neighbors experiencing food insecurity and provided on-farm learning support for students and families struggling with distance learning. In 2022 they are getting back to on-farm, hands-on experiences, empowering over 3,000 youth to harvest and taste farm fresh foods, while learning organic farming skills, nutrition, ecology, and grade-level science concepts.

Through Farm Discovery’s programs, local youth are engaged and inspired to be informed stewards of their own health, their community, and their environment. Farm Discovery at Live Earth aims to raise $80,000 through “Mesa” the September 24th fall fundraising event, to support farm visits, transportation costs and garden & kitchen supplies for the over 3000 students who will visit Live Earth Farm during the 2022-2023 year.
