Another growing season is upon us at Farm Discovery and as we begin to prep our fields and garden, we get an extra thrill out of imagining all the fun that will be had in them during our summer farm camp! With so many things feeling out of control these days, we take solace in the dependable joy that comes from children enjoying the great outdoors by learning and playing together, all while connecting with nature and their food.
Farm Camp 2021 Registration is Live! Due to the continuation of COVID 19 restrictions, we will be sticking with the one-month, small group model from last year. This gives families a more stable child care option. Each session will be full of adventures on the farm with hands-on activities in farming, art, cooking and wild crafting (plant ID, fire building, shelter building and more!) as well as hikes around our 150-acre organic farm.
For older kids, we are also offering a Leader in Training program that empowers youth through leadership skill building, job training and mentorship from our staff. For more information, contact our Education Director, Lucie, at education@farmdiscovery.org
