Wee Ones 10:30-12, 2nd Fridays March-November.

Wee Ones is a program offered by the Live Earth Farm Discovery Program, specifically for 0-6 year olds with a parent or guardian.

The goals of the Wee Ones program is to simply give our babies and toddlers a place and time to experience nature, to smell, see, taste, touch, and hear all this organic farm and its wild spaces has to offer. In this way we will set the stage for our children to develop their own healthy relationships with nature and food.

“While on maternity leave I took advantage of a few great resources in Santa Cruz for new mothers and I found that spending time with other moms of young ones was invaluable. So upon my return to the farm I decided to combine my old passion for farm education with my new passion of parenting. On the second Friday of every month at 10:30am, I invite mothers, fathers, grandparents or caretakers of any kind to bring your babe in arms out to this organic farm. We will spend an hour and a half exploring the farms many treasures.”

Activities are seasonal and may include:

Feeding the chickens
Watching and petting the goats and kids
Sniffing flowers and herbs
Picking ripe fruits and vegetables
Exploring the education or permaculture gardens
Singing farm songs
Reading farm books

Join us every Second Friday of the month at 10:30 am for Wee Ones, a unique family farm experience. We will meet under the willow tree by the play structure.

Cost is $15-$20 per family, and no one will be turned away for inability to pay.

*if, on the rare occasion, fewer than 4 families join us, we will ask you to sign in (donation optional) before you enjoy a self guided visit of the farm.*

Please don’t leave behind:

Water/ water bottles (there is plenty of potable water around the farm for refills)
Close-toed shoes
Hats
Sunscreen
Weather appropriate clothing
Baby carrier/stroller

*PLEASE DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG TO THE FARM*
We have dogs on the farm, whose purpose is to protect the farm from other animals. For the safety of the children who visit, we ask that you leave your animals at home. There is rarely adequate shade for you to leave your animal in the car while on site.
*If you need your service dog to accompany you to our site, please contact us in advance and have your service dog clearly marked. We will do our best to prepare for your animal’s visit and accommodate your needs for a service animal.
