Last winter we had the privilege of welcoming 2 new members to our Farm Discovery animal family! Pepper and Acorn joined Rosie, expanding our goat herd from 1 to 3! Throughout the year they help teach students about animal care, goat anatomy, and why they are important to land management, expanding students’ knowledge of environmental stewardship and the importance of caring for living beings. Field trips get to visit them and enjoy what is for most, a first time goat interaction.

During one of our fall field trips the little girl who helped raise our goats, Acorn and Pepper, came with her class for a visit. She got to present the goats to her class and assist in teaching the goat station. It was a special moment highlighting the community built through Farm Discovery.

We love our animals and hope you will come out to visit them, either on a field trip or family farm walk!
