Be sure to sign up for our summer camps at Farm Discovery!
We are so excited to have 30+ scholarships to give to families who need and we are offering a second season of teen camp this year, Fields & Meals.
LIT & Junior Staff positions for Summer 2018 are STILL available! This a great opportunity for students ages 13-20 to get hands on experience in farm education. Come work for a week or the whole summer, it is a great addition to a resume and can count as community service hours. For more information on being a Leader-in-Training or Junior Staff, contact Hayley at education@farmdiscovery.org.
There are 4 different camps, for children of all ages to come enjoy the farm. We have two sessions of our Art on the Farm and Farm to Table Camp (ages 6-12); with an optional farm camp out Thursday night. These camps focus on farm work, enjoying the season’s produce, and unique farm crafts; the days run from 9-3. We also have our Sprouts camp, for our smaller friends (age 3-6); this week features a half day from 9-12 all week long enjoying the farm, exploring the garden, and tasting lots of sweet treats from the fields. We had so much fun last year with the teens at our Fields and Meals camp, we are running it again! This week-long camp is for teens (11-16) who are passionate about cooking. We use the season’s freshest farm produce and explore the world of cooking, baking, fermenting, canning, and much more!
There is still room in all of our camp programs, to see more information visit: farmdiscovery.org/farm-camps/
