Last week, we welcomed a wonderful group of kids to the farm for Spring Break Camp! Campers spent the week hiking to the redwood grove, building fairy houses, planting seeds, harvesting fresh produce, and cooking up delicious farm-fresh meals. It was a week full of adventure, creativity, and connection with nature.
Our young farmers made veggie roll-ups with homemade hummus and colorful veggies they picked straight from the lower farm. They used sweet strawberries from the Farm Discovery garden to whip up some truly unforgettable strawberry pancakes. They learned how to properly groom and handle our gentle horses, and spent time caring for our farm animals each and every day.
Throughout the week, campers explored how plants grow, from roots to flowers, through hands-on lessons and fun outdoor crafts. Painting birdhouses and making planter boxes to take home and share with their families. Every day brought new discoveries, laughter, and a deeper appreciation for the land.
