We celebrated our annual Harvest Festival on October 20th; So many wonderful volunteers and community members came to the farm to enjoy the best time of the year! In addition to pumpkin bowling, cider pressing, and family yoga we added a marigold garland making station this year. It was really fun to see the beautiful marigolds we have been cultivating this summer be turned into these seasonally festive accessories.

We served a delicious seasonal meal and desserts by local artisans, Companion Bakeshop. Beverages by Elkhorn Slough Brewing, Discretion Brewing and Chesebro Cider quenched our thirst on the hot October day.

The money we raised will support scholarships for field trips like the ones described in 5 E’s From the Classroom to the Fields and Back Again.

We love working with local makers and artisans. If you are interested in becoming a vendor at one of our events, contact Simone at admin@farmdiscovery.org– we are already planning our Sheep to Shawl for March 16th, 2019!
