With such a wet and windy winter, our school programs took a hiatus for a couple month. As we all know, we certainly had more rain than we were expecting. With March beginning our programs pick back up with the sunshine. We have a busy season lying ahead of us with lots of schools coming out, fields beginning to come alive, and baby animals!
The school kids have been enjoying our newest additions of the 3 baby pygmy goats. Alianza Charter School of Watsonville came out last week and their first graders loved cuddling the babies and watching them jump about. Despite our best efforts to use calm and quiet voices, the excitement was simply too much for us to handle. Our chicks will be arriving at the end of the month to add to the cuteness for all the school children to interact with.
Our Wee Ones program is back up and running, the first Friday of every month. This program gives extra little ones and new mamas an opportunity to come explore the farm once a month from 10:30am-12:00pm. Make sure to bring your babes before the farm animals grow up!
